During the holiday season I always enjoy baking sweet treats to give to family and friends. Oatmeal No Bake cookies is always a favorite of everyone.
This recipe is an “oldie but a goodie.” I don’t know anyone who has not had these cookies, or anyone that does not love these cookies.
You really cant go wrong with sugar, butter, cocoa and peanut butter.
The recipe is quick, easy, and makes a great treat to enjoy yourself, or give away.
- 1/2 Cup Butter (1 stick)
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 4 Tablespoons Cocoa
- 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter (or a little more)
- 3 1/2 Cups Quick Cooking Oats
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla
Add sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa powder to a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla, and oats.
Drop large scoops of no bake cookies onto parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Allow to dry until the no bake cookies are firm and don’t fall apart when picked up.
